Hope for the children foundation-India, Helping Hand

The Founders Story
Caroline Audoir de Valter Ramos
Hector S.Ramos

Since 2001, Caroline and Hector have been doing charity on a personal level to help orphans and street children in India.

After some time, they realized that the task is huge and to make a real difference, more financial resources are needed. Due to this, they started Hope for the Children Foundation in 2006 to involve more donors and supporters. The aim is "empowerment and self-reliance for orphans to help them actualize their potential".

The dream has now become an incredible adventure. They travel around India to personally meet and network with NGOs and carefully select each orphanages, homes for street children, schools for slums, children from the red light area and HIV infected children to be adopted or enrolled in Hope for the Children Programs.

They are continuously engaged in making a visible difference in the quality of life of orphans by providing access to food, clean water, clothing, bedding, housing, education, vocational training and medical assistance.

They realize the daunting task of contributing to the welfare of more than 13 million orphans in India. They believe that it is by taking small concrete actions that love and compassion can be truly meaningful. By engaging with people who care for children, there is hope for a generation of beautiful souls.
