Hope in Action

INTRODUCTION

Children in India face serious impediments to realizing full and formal education due to various reasons like economic constraints, family environment, lack of awareness and lack of interest in education.

A report submitted to the UN, UNICEF revealed that there are 72 million children out of schools off which 54 percent are girls. The report also states that out of 759 million illiterate adults, two thirds are women.

We understand that the challenges are many, but thankfully, the solutions are simple and eminently possible with dedication and new innovative programs that not only takes care of the children but also takes care of the development of the family.

HFCF has amassed valuable experience in helping these children through its Shiksha Ki Asha program, and setting up multiple vocational training centers and running projects that empower women with the Atmanirbharata program. Basic socializing skills, career knowledge and interpersonal skills are some of the components of Disha Darshan program.

Apart from the regular programs that HFCF conducts, we also plan issue-specific campaigns throughout the year. We try to align these awareness-building campaigns and fund-raising events with festivals of giving, and observe all the key dates of awareness that are planned in a year.
